A key-logger is probably the worst possible route to take in any business given that it is a MAJOR breach in privacy. If I'm on my lunch break on MY time and decide to check my banking, all of a sudden you have all my banking information at your disposal. Or I write a personal e-mail using my personal email address, you now have the contents of that email. Probably the best way to ensure employees are making productive use of their computers is to hire a GOOD IT representative. Access restrictions can be put in place for web browsing, applications used locally on the computers, and limits put on just about everything you can do on a computer with little to no investment in technology.
