Examples are Word and Excel that store information about files that were recently opened and worked with, Google Toolbar remembers all the words you had used for searches, etc.
Although all this may make it easy for you to access information, all this stored information can compromise on your privacy as everyone has access to your personal data and know where you have been on the Internet.
